The Middle of the Night.

Why is it so hard to consistently maintain a positive mindset?

We are so accustomed to our mental programming since birth that we now live with the illusion that what we see, what we believe, and how we feel is reality; there could be no other way. And since we have been programmed to focus on what we want – or what we think we need – that we currently do not have, we have a strong tendency to maintain a negative mindset; one of insufficiency, envy, and dissatisfaction. When we look at our life, we do not give enough credit to what we already have because our perception of what we already have is not based from a head space and heart space of gratitude. Instead, we see what we already have as problematic; it is either flawed in some way or not enough.

Your mindset is not dependent on the state of your reality as you see it, the state of your reality as you see it is dependent upon your mindset. Most people laugh at this concept; nothing but hippie shit. These are the people who have never seriously tried to apply this practice on themselves. They will either elude to the fact that it is stupid or they will try to convince you that they gave it an honest try and it did not work. To them, maintaining a chronically positive mindset does not seem realistic; therefore, it is a waste of time. A lot of us have the misunderstanding that maintaining a positive mindset means being disgustingly happy all of the time (even during difficult times) or that maintaining a positive mindset means nothing negative happens in your life.

The problem does not exist from the positive mindset. The problem exists from how we view the positive mindset. Most of us view it as being unrealistic, fake, or in denial. Maintaining a positive mindset does not mean ignoring the existence of the negative aspects of life. Your perceived reality will actually change in the most literal sense if you first change your perception of it. Most people reverse this order and they swear that their reality has to change first – in one way or another – in order for their perception to change. So their thoughts and beliefs – and ultimately their emotions and state of well-being – end up being dependent upon their current perception of reality; the reality that most people complain about.

You receive the reality that is equivalent to the frequency of vibrational energy that you put out. The better you get at it, the more you will start to notice physical evidence of this phenomenon. And, eventually, you will have this undeniable knowing that you are a co-creator of your own reality. This is so much more than forcing yourself to be happy when your life sucks.

Bad things in life become more apparent when we choose to focus our attention and energy on them. All of this boils down to our habits; both physical and psychological habits. This is the part that no one wants to hear; this is the hard part. Many people do not believe that their actual reality will change “simply” by changing their habits. But changing our habits is so much more than trying to quit a bad habit and incorporating more self-care into our lives. Changing our habits involves a consistent effort toward mind control. Changing our habits involves totally revolutionizing our thought process that we have been unknowingly establishing since birth.

Most people do not believe that their habits are the problem. They believe reality is their problem and their habits serve as an escape – a break, sort of speak – from reality. This mindset is why so many of us are attached to our phones. This mindset is why most of us adopt the “might as well” attitude. And this is when we start to see people view the things that perpetuate their perceived misfortunes as their friend – their entertainment – and not their enemy. This self-fulfilling prophecy creates an endless cycle of intermittent unhappiness, dissatisfaction, insecurity, and financial stress. It inhibits us from elevating our vibrational energy and prevents us from achieving a higher state of consciousness; stopping us from personal growth and success.

A lot of us view what we already have from one side of the coin. It is imperative to view what you already have from the other side of the coin. This is a very difficult thing to do for a lot of people, especially people who believe they are particularly unlucky and misfortunate. It is also imperative to assess your life in order to identify and discard what does not serve you well; the things we think, say, and do that lower our frequencies. If you are able to accomplish these two tasks – without having your subjective biases getting in the way – you will slowly begin to notice that the things that used to matter a lot to you, do not matter at all anymore. And the things that should have always mattered to you, are now your everything.

It is not easy, but it will never be impossible. When it starts to really click, the experience is nothing less than mind-blowing. Once you have had a taste of it, there is no going back; you become powerful in ways that supersede anything that you once believed.

On a not so side note, worrying will never change your outer reality. Even if you do not believe in manifestation and opt out of trying; worrying about your problems will never change the problem itself. Human beings tend to worry. A lot of us intermittently engage in worrying throughout our entire day. Worrying only prevents us from living in the present. This is why so many of us feel like time goes by so quickly; the days are long but the years go by so fast mentality.

The concept of The Law of Attraction is so widely spoken about nowadays that it has become popular and trendy. People talk about it on social media, people watch videos about it, and – most of all – people tell other people that they live their lives in accordance with this concept. A lot of people publicly identify with this concept but they do not practice it the way it is meant to be practiced because, if they did, many social constructs that exist today would fall apart.

There is just so much to say. I will continue later. Thank you for reading.
